We’d like to formally acknowledge the kind words said by our blockchain partner Casper Labs in a recent post on their blog.

Thank you for saying we’re “Transforming the Gaming Industry”. That’s the goal. Building a more equitable industry for creators and consumers alike is a founding principle here and a dream that can’t be realized without future-forward allies investing in this space.

Before you head over the blog to read the full article (which you should), we’d like to give attention to and comment on a couple of paragraphs, as they explain our decision to use blockchain technology:

For game reselling to be successful and lucrative in the digital age, gamers need a method that enables accessible, fair, transparent, and secure trading. There is no more cost-effective or secure option to facilitate this process than blockchain technology.

As a startup with a bold vision to change the definition of digital ownership, embracing solutions like blockchain enable us to enter this market effectively for consumers. For the end-user, this doesn’t change how you operate with a digital store. We handle the backend magic. Or rather our incredible engineers (magicians?) do.

Casper Labs explains it further:

If a Robot Cache gamer owns a given title — say, Wasteland 3 — that ownership is verified with a digital stamp on the Casper Blockchain that’s easily trackable and verifiable by any third party. And when and if they ever decide to trade it, they can easily transfer their ownership. In short, the blockchain-based marketplace helps gamers reclaim the freedom to safely and more efficiently buy, play, and sell what they rightly own.

Curious to see how it works? Head over to our store and give it a shot: Robot Cache – Games. We won’t say no to you picking up a few games, playing them, and later putting them up for sale. This is how digital ownership should work now and forever.

Thanks again for the flattery, Casper Labs, and adding clarity to our partnership. Read the full post here: Built on Casper: How Robot Cache is Transforming the Gaming Industry (casperlabs.io)
